Job Summary

As a Flight Instructor at Auburn University, you will provide flight training to students enrolled in the Professional Flight program. This is a temporary employment opportunity with Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct flight instruction in accordance with AU Professional Flight and FAA practices, procedures, and guidance.
  • Schedule students for flight training sessions and ensure they are assigned to make up any missed lessons.
  • Promote a safety culture among students and ensure adherence to all prescribed policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Flight Instructor certification plus an Airplane Single-Engine rating.
  • Desirable: Flight Instructor certification plus an Airplane Single-Engine rating and Instrument-Airplane rating.
Working Conditions

Hours may vary between 5AM and 9:30PM, Monday to Saturday, depending on scheduled flight blocks. The position is located in Auburn, Alabama.
