Gastroenterology Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Nurse Specialist to join our team at United Surgical Partners International. The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

The Gastroenterology Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory surgical setting. This includes performing routine nursing care, monitoring patient progress, and identifying any changes in status. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, and principles, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform all nursing duties in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
* Actively demonstrate a working knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, and principles
* Monitor patient progress and identify any changes in status
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
* Collaborate with the Infection Control Committee to prevent and identify potential infections

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
* Current Texas state license
* BLS and ACLS certification required
* One year of endoscopy/ambulatory experience preferred
* Bilingual (Spanish) language skills preferred
