About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Engineer to join our team at ABB Drive Products. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adapt ABB's products with customer applications to meet their requirements/specifications.
  • Select optimized products and technology for adaptation, prepare relevant documentation, and serve as a key technical resource for the assigned area.
  • Showcase expertise by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
  • Model and analyze power system configurations using commercially available software.
  • Troubleshoot AC and DC drive systems and associated products.
  • Create detailed technical reports on product issues and setup performance testing in the lab.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics with a minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial applications of AC and DC drives.
  • Familiarity with IEEE, UL, NEMA, and IEC standards associated with LV and MV drives and systems.
  • Ability to develop proof of concepts in the application lab and effectively present technical information to top management, peers, and customers.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
