Position Overview

The Support Specialist for Member Services plays a vital role in fostering autonomy, enhancing self-esteem, and assisting our Members in achieving a fulfilling and purposeful life. This position is dedicated to supporting adults aged 18 and above who have diverse disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute individualized service plans tailored to Members' specific needs and aspirations, while documenting daily advancements for Community-Based Day Support and Employment Support services.
  • Encourage participation in community activities and ensure safety at all times.
  • Organize and facilitate activities that align with Members' employment pathways.
  • Instruct Members on managing daily living tasks, including household chores, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal care, health management, financial literacy, transportation, self-regulation, and leisure activities.
  • Recognize potential crises and effectively de-escalate situations, prioritizing the safety of all individuals involved.
  • Administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations, when applicable.
  • Provide physical assistance to Members as required.
  • Transport Members to community engagements or job opportunities as needed.

Note: MAP Certification is a prerequisite for this role.
