Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler and Cost Controller to join our team at Morson Talent (Canada & USA). As a key member of our project planning and control team, you will be responsible for producing regular and ad-hoc reports to support our project planning and control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain integrated master schedules of projects according to customer standards and approved scheduling tools.
  • Cost Control: Verify the accuracy of all cost information, including confirmation that costs have been properly coded and allocated to the project budget. Produce required accounting and project cost reports.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce reports on deviations, under-runs and over-runs. Prepare forecasts and cost trend reports. Review and evaluate trends and their impact on project costs.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor project costs and commitment to budget and forecast. Maintain change control and the change order register.
  • Progress Measurement: Assess progress measurement and develop/updating progress curves for progress reporting. Responsible for EVM during all project stages.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Controlling and 4 years of experience in Construction Project Scheduling required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • CAPM or PMI-SP Certificate or equivalent is an asset.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Primavera P6 (preferred) and/or MS Project experience required.
  • Experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted: Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro, and OSG.
