Job Summary
CBIZ is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our team in providing co-sourcing/outsourcing services for Credit-Focused Alternative Asset Managers. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of an In-House tax function, including transactional matters, managing multiple internal and external professional resources, and federal, state, and foreign compliance. You will work on rewarding, high-profile clients with exposure to interesting technical matters using a team approach that allows for great work-life balance in a friendly, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing staff on assigned deliverables to achieve the completion of all aspects of the engagement, completing reviews as a member of the final review team to ensure quality control standards are met.
- Understanding the client's compliance and consulting needs and recognizing opportunities for the client and CBIZ.
- Sharing knowledge of industry trends, identifying client issues and conflicts, proactively communicating solution options to management and the team, performing analysis and planning of tax engagements.
- Assisting with client communication during engagements.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Participating in new client development in partnership with senior management, contributing to client meetings as well as presentation and proposal development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- 5 years of experience working with GAAP, 5 years of experience auditing financial statements, and 5 years of experience performing public accounting.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- 3 years of managing other accountants.
- Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize each assignment as necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
- Proficient use of applicable technology.
- Must be able to travel based on business needs.
Benefits
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $120,000-$200,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
