About the Role

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects related to our fiber optic network infrastructure. Your primary goal will be to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the high-quality standards expected in the telecommunications industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Oversees construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety.
  • Technical Support: Provides technical support to Project Managers.
  • Cost Control: Develops and maintains project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
  • Change Order Management: Performs change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations.
  • Schedule Management: Assists in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors' construction schedules.
  • Reporting: Reports the status of projects to business and market leaders.
  • Client Management: Attend client program meetings as needed.
  • Contract Management: Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.
  • Team Management: Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
  • Training and Development: Responsible for daily management of Construction Technicians including scheduling and training.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement procedures to better organize the team/department.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocation of projects to general contractors based on scheduling needs and availability.
