Job Summary

This part-time position is responsible for assisting surgeons with various surgical procedures, ensuring accurate inventory and supply counts, and maintaining a sterile environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic scrub tech experience and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and scrub for surgical procedures, primarily orthopedic
  • Maintain a good working relationship with operating physicians
  • Assist with patient transfers and maintain a sterile field during surgery
  • Supplies and instruments pulled for cases, reviewing physician preference cards
  • Clean and decontaminate equipment and supplies
  • Input patient charges into the computer in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Valid certification as a Certified Surgical Technician
  • Minimum of two years of orthopedic scrub tech experience
  • BLS certification
Working Conditions

This position requires a physically demanding, high-stress environment with exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions.
