Project Manager

At J.H. Findorff & Son, we're seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day construction management efforts of our projects. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation and issuance of subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and monthly payment requests.
  • Actively manage contract terms, including prompt invoice approval, resolving issues, and Certificates of Insurance.
  • Prepare, distribute, and track RFIs, CBs, RFPs, or other change issue documentation.
  • Create and distribute detailed project schedules, updating them as the project progresses.
  • Manage close-out activities, including punch lists, O&M, Owner training, change orders, contracts, permits, and Owner occupancy.
  • Facilitate pre- and post-job meetings, pre- and post-task meetings, and lead the incorporation of virtual construction and BIM coordination.
  • Possess strong knowledge of construction law, contract terms, dispute resolution, and risk management.
  • Estimate, quantity take-off, and pricing.
  • Coordinate bid day activities with the Estimator.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, and colleagues.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, oversight, review, and performance feedback to peers.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including requests for proposal responses and interviews.
