We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Team Lead to join our team at Elite Building Services. As a key member of our cleaning operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the housekeeping team at Milwaukee Airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping team to ensure all areas of the airport are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures.
  • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and in good working condition.
  • Respond promptly to any cleaning emergencies or special requests from airport management.
  • Maintain effective communication with airport staff, management, and other departments to ensure a seamless operation.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to housekeeping staff.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in commercial cleaning operations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards and quality assurance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cleaning staff, airport management, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform cleaning tasks and move around the airport terminal.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and security screenings required for employment at the airport.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 20+ pounds regularly, bend, stretch, climb stairs, climb a ladder, reach, twist, sit, walk, and squat. Must be comfortable working on feet for entire shift.

Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US. This is a Full-Time employment opportunity.
