Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Intake and Assessments: Conduct thorough intake and assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide Counseling Services: Offer individual, family, and group counseling sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to establish and implement treatment plans, setting realistic goals and objectives to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor Progress and Evaluate Effectiveness: Regularly monitor clients' progress, evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain Confidentiality and Documentation: Ensure the confidentiality of client information and maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all interactions and services provided.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Stay Current with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, research, and industry developments in mental health.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Counseling or Related Field: Possess a master's degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification: Hold a valid license to practice as a counselor in the state of Georgia and possess any required certifications, such as LPC or LMFT.
  • Experience and Skills: Possess at least two years of experience in mental health counseling, with a strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, case management, and documentation.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
Work Environment

This role operates in a variable business setting, with occasional travel to community locations. The employee will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, and community partners. The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
