Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Best Home Health Providers. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing physical therapy services to patients in the Stockton area.
Job Responsibilities- Provide direct physical therapy services to patients under the direction of a physical therapist and in accordance with a physician's plan of care.
- Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
- Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
- Utilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
- Observe and report to the physical therapist and organization personnel the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in the patient's condition.
- Instruct patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
- Maintain necessary records, including clinical notes and conference notes, which will be incorporated into the patient's clinical record in prescribed time frames.
- Participate in organization home care team members meetings and organization in-service education program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Current certification or license as required by state law.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
