About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Control Nurse to join our team at Fremont Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and prevention.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of the facility's infection control program, including infection surveillance, reporting, and provision of technical support and education to staff.
  • Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement strategies to prevent and control infections.
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices and protocols.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required (RN/LPN); Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a RN/LPN in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Thorough knowledge of TJC, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
