Job Summary
As a Medical Care Specialist with TotalMed, you will provide high-quality patient care in medical-surgical units, assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Monitor patient progress, assess vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care instructions, medication management, and recovery expectations.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS certification (other certifications as required by facility)
- Two years of recent medical surgical RN experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
