Clinical Medical Assistant
Compensation:$55,000 - $65,000 per year
This role requires a highly skilled and motivated individual to provide exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and staff.
About the Position:We are seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team at MSA Orthopedics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, and managing patient care requests efficiently.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information.
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring a smooth patient experience.
- Manage patient care requests efficiently by handling prior authorization requests, submitting outgoing referrals, and following up on the patient RX line.
- Address patient needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and attention.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment, ensuring all medical equipment is properly sanitized and ready for use.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical office, especially in orthopedics, is a plus.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- BLS certification is required.
