KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.

Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional client-facing services to multinational corporations dealing with global indirect tax technology challenges, including transaction assessments, supply chain management, business growth, and mergers and acquisitions.

Collaborate and facilitate indirect tax discussions with cross-functional teams, including Tax, IT, Purchasing, Sales, and Master Data.

Develop and present Sales and Use Tax (SUT) and/or Value Added Tax (VAT) Technology training sessions for both external and internal audiences.

Assist in identifying and documenting client business requirements for implementing VAT/sales and use tax compliance processes and system enhancements.

Support Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners in engagement administration and client invoicing.

Lead testing, troubleshooting, and error resolution efforts related to ERP and tax systems.

Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of experience with SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, or Great Plains, specifically in the AP/PO, A/R, or G/L modules.


A minimum of two years of experience in implementing or supporting significant indirect tax technology solutions such as Sabrix, Vertex, ADP Taxware, and similar for North American and/or global organizations.

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Comprehension of key indirect tax processes and data drivers, along with some industry experience in sectors such as retail, financial services, manufacturing, and telecommunications.

Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to generate and plan work efforts and manage project timelines, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and comfort in engaging with C-level executives.

Capability to handle multiple client activities and meet tight deadlines; willingness to travel up to fifty percent of the time.
