The Houston Fire Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Certified Firefighter & Emergency Medical Technician Trainee. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for participating in various types of training in fire suppression and emergency medical services.



Job Summary:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about serving their community and has the skills and qualifications necessary to excel in this role. The successful candidate will participate in classroom lectures, seminars, and practical training sessions as directed by the Houston Fire Department.



Responsibilities:
  • Participate in drills, demonstrations, and instruction in hydraulics, pump operation, maintenance, fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services.
  • Receive and participate in various types of training in fire suppression and emergency medical services up to and including paramedic certification.


Requirements:
  • An active Texas Commission of Fire Protection (TCFP) Firefighter Certification
  • An active Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) Emergency Medical Technician Certification


Benefits:

Salary:

$55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
