Position Overview:

As a Loss Control Consultant at Lockton, you will work closely with clients to evaluate and mitigate risks that could affect their financial stability. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the development of effective strategies and resources for implementing risk management initiatives
  • Conducting training sessions focused on critical safety protocols and industry standards
  • Analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to help clients reduce their risk exposure and associated costs
  • Gathering comprehensive information on complex client accounts, including claims analysis and loss trends, while monitoring historical loss patterns as necessary
  • Delivering loss prevention strategies and risk assessments to clients to improve their loss ratios and insurance premiums
  • Offering recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Evaluating sites, equipment, and operational safety measures for clients, sharing findings with internal teams and clients to identify potential hazards and underwriting risks
  • Providing clients with valuable information on safety, hazard prevention, and loss control
  • Supporting Producers in establishing and nurturing client relationships through the delivery of loss control services
  • Interpreting and evaluating recommendations from insurance carriers
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and staying updated on changes in laws affecting loss control
  • Educating clients on loss control regulations as required
  • Performing additional duties as necessary to support the team

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in loss control
  • Proficiency in data analysis, particularly with Excel, is essential
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines is preferred
  • Awareness of industry trends and government regulations is critical
  • Experience in property, fleet safety, workers' compensation, and liability is beneficial
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time, including both car and air travel
  • Availability for company and departmental meetings, including industry training sessions
  • Commitment to adhering to company policies and safeguarding client and company information
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use computers for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when necessary
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Possession of ARM, ASP, or CSP designations is preferred but not required
