About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging results.
  • Obtain medical history from patients and verify exam requisitions to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Position patients and select optimal scanning factors, adjusting as needed to achieve high-quality images.
  • Administer contrast media under the direction of radiologists and assist with scanning techniques.
  • Post-process images, accurately identifying and labeling patient information and scan locations.
  • Maintain accurate records and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Identify equipment performance issues and perform quality assurance tests and calibration procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced training beyond high school in radiologic technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in radiology information systems.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing.
