Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Professional to join our team at Summit Pathology Laboratories, Inc. in Laramie, WY.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree (or higher) in a laboratory science and excellent customer service skills.

This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $40,000 per year and benefits including medical insurance options by Cigna, dental insurance options by Cigna or Alpha Dental, vision insurance by Cigna, 401k by Ascensus, paid time off, and holiday pay.

Responsibilities

  • Assess specimen quality, make necessary corrections, and prepare the specimen for processing or grossing.
  • Accession specimens into the supported LIS system and perform accurate data entry.
  • Interact with hospital staff and/or answer phone calls with positive customer interactions and proper phone etiquette.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to identify and complete lab responsibilities and meet department goals.
  • Participate in department activities to improve patient care/lab systems, share new information with all team members, attend team meetings, and effectively orient/mentor new staff as requested.
