We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment, as well as preparing and delivering sterile case carts for surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentation using various software applications
• Prepare and deliver sterile case carts for surgical procedures, working collaboratively with surgical teams
• Maintain accurate inventory and records of supplies, including paring and replenishment of materials
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for sterilization and instrument handling
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician course preferred
• 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Operating Technician; certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD within 8 months
• BLS certification required
