Quality Assurance Inspector

The Quality Inspector – Level 1 role will report directly to the Quality Supervisor. In this position, you will conduct inspections of products and assist with quality audits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct first-off inspections, receiving inspections, and in-process inspections.
2. Perform product and LPA audits.
3. Utilize manual gauging and operate CMM as necessary.
4. Inspect incoming materials according to receiving inspection requirements.
5. Evaluate products based on visual aids.
6. Complete required forms and documentation.
7. Understand TS processes for nonconforming materials, including identification and inspection processes.
8. Undertake additional assignments as needed to support both internal and external customers.
9. Comply with all health and safety regulations, as well as environmental laws and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in high-pressure die casting (HPDC) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with S.P.C (Histograms, X and R charts, Cpk).
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings.
- Competence in understanding company procedure manuals.
- Proficient in using measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
- Measure or weigh products to assess conformity and quality standards; basic math skills are required.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and identify product errors using technical skills.
- Provide continuous improvement recommendations to quality management.
- Possess interpersonal skills to collaborate with supervisors and coordinate work.
- Interact with operators to monitor progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team, coordinating efforts with necessary departments.
- Utilize computer applications to monitor quality.
- Maintain ongoing learning to stay updated with new developments in the field.
- CMM experience is preferred.
