Position Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager at Planet Forward is responsible for designing and executing local initiatives to ensure adherence to all quality and regulatory standards while enhancing the quality and compliance of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the professional development of the Quality Team by refining processes and personnel in alignment with the Leadership Model.
  • Achieve operational quality assurance goals by providing insights and analysis for strategic planning; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service benchmarks; conducting audits; identifying system enhancements; and facilitating change.
  • Draft quality assurance processes and inspection protocols, manage databases for document control and corrective actions.
  • Meet financial targets for quality assurance by forecasting needs; preparing annual budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing discrepancies; and initiating corrective measures.
  • Validate quality protocols by defining product specifications and quality characteristics; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualifications; and revising quality assurance procedures.
  • Ensure certification and compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Provide managerial and technical guidance while effectively collaborating with regulatory and business partners to strengthen business and regulatory relationships.
  • Oversee Quality Inspection and Designated Inspection to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Thorough understanding of APQP/AS9145 methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality policies, procedures, and all relevant technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques such as 8D/5-Why's.
  • Strong customer service orientation with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative leadership abilities to achieve objectives in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize resources to meet deadlines.
  • Encourages and fosters a culture of continuous improvement among team members.
  • Comprehensive auditing experience in manufacturing and/or regulatory settings is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Aviation Sciences, Quality, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years in quality assurance/control and manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in managing and sustaining a Quality Management System.
  • Background in the aerospace industry is essential.
