Meat Cutter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at HEB Grocery Stores. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and boning meat for display or as ordered by customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut, trim, and bone meat for display or as ordered by customers
  • Operate electric grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, and slicer
  • Weigh, wrap, and label product packages for counter display
  • Rotate product in meat cooler and ensure proper storage practices
  • Assist customers with product questions and provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
