Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Behavior Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing individualized behavior support plans, reinforcing positive student behaviors, and redirecting negative behaviors. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment that promotes academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Individualized Behavior Support Plans: Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans to promote positive student behaviors and address challenging behaviors.
  • Reinforce Positive Student Behaviors: Reinforce positive student behaviors by providing praise, rewards, and recognition.
  • Redirect Negative Behaviors: Redirect negative behaviors by using proactive strategies and de-escalation techniques.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior data.
  • Collaborate with Teachers and Staff: Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
  • RBT Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is preferred.
  • Experience Working with Students with Special Needs: Experience working with students with special needs is highly preferred.
  • Ability to Think and Act Quickly: The ability to think and act quickly in an emergency situation is essential.
