Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Instructor to join our adjunct faculty pool. As an adjunct instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach chemistry courses at our Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations.

Responsibilities
  • Teach chemistry courses to students of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in curriculum development and program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Chemistry.
  • OR Master's degree in chemistry.
  • OR Any bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry AND master's degree in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology, or geochemistry.
  • OR Equivalency: An official transcript documenting successful completion of any Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education AND official transcripts documenting successful completion of 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, a minimum of which must be 12 graduate level semester units.
Working Conditions

Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
