Job Title: MRI Technologist

A & A Services is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join their team on a travel assignment in Summit, New Jersey.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced MRI Technologist to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in magnetic resonance imaging and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Position patients on examining tables and place specified coils close to areas of interest, following protocols requested by radiologists.
  • Demonstrate the use of microphones to facilitate communication between patients and technologists during examinations.
  • Enter data such as patient history, anatomical areas to be scanned, and orientation into computer systems.
  • Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers into computer systems.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort through observation and closed-circuit TV.
  • View images of scanned areas on video display screens to ensure quality.
  • Key in data on keyboards to photograph images.
  • Alert staff entering magnet rooms to the danger of wearing or carrying metal around magnets.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to work independently.
Education and Certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
  • NJ State RT License.
  • MR Certified.
  • BLS Certification.

A & A Services offers a competitive pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
