Job Overview:

  • Deliver scrub and/or circulating assistance in the surgical suite during operations
  • Support the surgical team as required
  • Act as a First Assistant or supplementary aide to the surgeon within the defined scope of practice

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an Accredited Surgical First Assistant program
  • Experience: At least 2 years of operating room experience as a Surgical Technician or Surgical First Assistant
  • Certification / Licensure: Must possess CSFA, CSA, or SA-C First Assist certification, along with American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS is preferred
  • Credentialing: Provide documentation of 100 cases as a first assistant within the last 2 years, NPI #, and current references
  • Continuing Education: Maintain proficiency through necessary continuing education
