Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at 1872 Consulting. As a key member of our electrical engineering group, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring electrical staff, coordinating with other disciplines, and conducting field investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor electrical staff to ensure high-quality designs and projects
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution
  • Conduct field investigations to identify and resolve electrical design issues
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines
  • Work on a variety of project types, including heavy infrastructure and municipality projects
  • Meet with clients and prepare proposals to secure new business
  • Oversee project installation and budget, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Ensure safety and compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in the industrial sector
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
  • Working knowledge of NEC, IEC, ISA & IEEE design standards
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit skills preferred
  • Specification writing skills required
  • Management experience of an electrical engineering group preferred
  • Arc-flash study experience a plus
  • Ability to safely traverse construction sites
