We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our Deli team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering customer questions, resolving issues, and making recommendations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by preparing and serving food to the highest standards.
- Food Preparation
- Prepare and serve food to customers, including slicing, packaging, and labeling products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Inventory Management
- Unload and break down daily deliveries, stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing products/inventory.
- Refill and rotate products for freshness.
Requirements
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience
- Previous food service experience preferred.
- Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
