We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our Outpatient Physical Therapy team at West Suburban Medical Center. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and disabilities, including range of motion and muscle testing.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to help patients regain function, increase strength, and decrease pain.
- Perform various physical, electrical, mechanical, and heat treatments, including exercises, gait training, and massage.
- Supervise physical therapist assistants and review treatment plans with fellow team members.
- Consult with social services, case management, and patients' families regarding discharge planning.
- Document patient treatment and progress in patient charts and records.
- Provide in-services to outpatient staff and the community on physical therapy topics.
- Current state of Illinois licensure as a physical therapist.
- Lymphedema certification as a physical therapist.
- Bachelor's Degree or certificate in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-approved school.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and hospital personnel.
- Analytical ability to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans.
