Summary of Responsibilities: Registered Nurses at Avera McKennan are expected to deliver competent nursing care and uphold professional standards in their practice. RNs are accountable for their actions and the outcomes of patient care during their shifts.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is preferred; graduates from approved nursing programs are also considered.
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota or meet multi-state licensure requirements.
- Specialty certification is preferred.
- Membership in a professional nursing organization is encouraged.
Work Schedule:
- Varied shifts, typically Monday through Friday; 72 hours every two weeks.
- Participation in weekend and holiday rotations is required.
- On-call shifts may be assigned periodically.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position will be determined based on experience.
