Position Overview

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Brand Strategist will act as the guardian of the brand, focusing on driving growth through strategic planning and execution.

This role is pivotal in enhancing brand equity while maximizing profitability, revenue, and market share across the product line. It is a comprehensive brand management position that requires expertise in collaborating with external partners, uncovering consumer insights, and addressing critical business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement marketing strategies, including annual business objectives, to achieve company goals.
  • Assess and recommend modifications to strategies based on competitive landscape and performance metrics.
  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Finance) to execute business strategies effectively.
  • Oversee daily operational activities, including:
    • Execution of marketing initiatives such as advertising, consumer promotions, and digital presence.
    • Conducting business analysis, including post-campaign evaluations and ROI assessments.
    • Managing budgets and monitoring competitive activities.
  • Direct the development of advertising and promotional content, serving as the primary liaison with external agencies.
  • Engage in the innovation process: identify consumer needs, create concepts, evaluate market potential, and collaborate with teams to launch new products.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Marketing to design tailored initiatives for specific accounts and channels.

Qualifications for Success

Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following competencies through relevant experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred, with a minimum of 5 years in consumer packaged goods marketing.
  • Proven track record in innovation, from concept development to market launch.
  • Comprehensive understanding of promotional and media strategies across various platforms.
  • Ability to perform financial analyses related to marketing effectiveness and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with industry research tools and methodologies.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive mindset.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Project management expertise, particularly in creative processes.
  • Deep understanding of the consumer packaged goods retail landscape.
