Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at American Family Care, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases by performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.
Responsibilities- Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure and ensure compliance with approved radiology standards.
- Process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician and radiologist overreads.
- Utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to approved radiology techniques and policies.
- Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments, following approved standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
- Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
- Serve as Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant when needed, adhering to guidelines.
We are seeking an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training. ARRT-registered or board eligible is preferred. Licensed per state regulation, with some states accepting Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT, or Paramedic certification.
CompensationThe compensation for this role is $28.00 - $33.00 per hour.
