Medical Oncology Specialist

Overview: Blue Ridge Cancer Care is seeking a highly skilled Hematology Specialist to join our team. As an Advance Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in the care of individuals dealing with cancer or related diagnoses.
">- Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients under supervision or collaboration with practice physicians.
- Responsibilities:
- Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
- Performs procedures and mentors trains other providers.
- Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
- Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Consistently incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.
- Qualifications:
- Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
- Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Work Environment: Our oncology/hematology clinic environment requires exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to this field.
