Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily kennel procedures, including cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor the health and behavior of all animals in our care, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with animal nutrition, socialization, and cleaning, adhering to established company protocols.
- Collaborate with our dedicated store veterinarian to provide medical care and administer medications as prescribed.
- Train and mentor junior Animal Care Technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in animal care or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with frequent walking and bending.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced retail environment with frequent animal interactions.
- Occasional travel to off-site locations may be required.
