Behavioral Health Support Specialist

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year

SCHARP California is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive support services to vulnerable populations in South Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage eligible clients and provide comprehensive support services, including accompaniment to office visits as needed
  • Promote health education and self-management skills through training and support
  • Arrange transportation and assist with linkage to social services
  • Distribute health promotion materials and facilitate communication with healthcare professionals
  • Connect clients to other social services and advocate on their behalf
  • Use motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and harm-reduction approaches to support client recovery
  • Monitor treatment adherence and ensure timely completion of assessments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or minimum four years' equivalent experience
  • At least one year of experience working with behavioral health populations, including homeless individuals with co-occurring disorders
