Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team at Viles & Beckman. As a key member of our personal injury law practice, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional legal representation to our clients and contributing to the success of our firm.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough case investigations to determine the validity of each case, including collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing medical reports.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and trials, presenting compelling arguments and evidence to support their claims.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties, striving to secure the maximum compensation for clients.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and other parties.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing regular case updates and ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 solid years practicing law, preferably in personal injury, however we are willing to mentor and train.
  • Active, in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with Filevine preferred.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and work independently or as part of a team to develop strategies for a case.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically.
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
