Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our Gastroenterology department.

Role Highlights:

  • Full-Time employment with flexible Day Shift options, Monday through Friday
  • No weekend or on-call responsibilities
  • Primarily outpatient focus with some inpatient duties
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Deliver care to adult patients (18+) experiencing a range of gastrointestinal issues

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee a significant portion of outpatient clinic activities, including new patient evaluations
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide treatment with physician collaboration as needed
  • Manage medication prescriptions and outpatient testing documentation
  • Serve as a resource for the healthcare team
  • Facilitate referrals to other specialties when necessary
  • Assist physicians with inpatient care and act as the primary contact for consultations

Required Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility is mandatory
  • Certification as ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PA is required
  • A Master's degree is essential
  • Experience in Gastroenterology/Endoscopy or Primary Care is advantageous
  • Completion of a GI clinical rotation is expected for new graduates
