We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Chaplain to join our team at Grace Healthcare Services. As a core member of our interdisciplinary team, the Chaplain will provide spiritual care and support to our patients, families, caregivers, staff, volunteers, and facility staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Spiritual Care: Conduct spiritual assessments, offer counseling and support to patients, families, and staff, and provide non-judgmental care that honors the spiritual needs of each individual.
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and comprehensiveness of care.
- Facilitate Spiritual Support: Visit patients, call families on special occasions, and provide appreciative presence at the bedside.
- Link to Community Resources: Facilitate connections to community clergy and other spiritual support services as desired by patients and families.
- Perform Memorial and Funeral Services: Conduct memorial and funeral services for patients at contracted facilities as required.
- Education and Experience: Master's degree in Divinity or related field preferred, with advanced training in clinical pastoral education and at least two years of experience in healthcare.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of spiritual issues common during illness, death, and bereavement, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Denominational Endorsement: Endorsement by denomination preferred.
