We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at AVC. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Veterinarians in the care of animals, including restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, and ensuring that equipment is in working order.
- Perform technical skills such as venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia administration, and monitoring, dental prophy, radiography, administering medications, and performing laboratory analysis.
- Communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.
- Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide outstanding patient care and client service.
- Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a hands-on environment.
- Energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills.
- Be compassionate and caring.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Self-starter personality with the ability to complete daily tasks without constant direction.
- Prior experience preferred.
