Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to contribute to our operational excellence. The successful candidate will be tasked with the installation and maintenance of electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting setups. A formal education in electrical technology and hands-on experience with electrical systems are essential for this role. Collaboration with management and team members is crucial to uphold our safety standards and promote a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting fixtures.
  • Interpret technical diagrams and blueprints accurately.
  • Conduct routine electrical maintenance and inspections.
  • Examine transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components for functionality.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Repair and replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment as necessary.
  • Adhere to the National Electrical Code and local building regulations.
  • Perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers.
  • Maintain proficiency in heating and air conditioning systems, along with various testing tools.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
  • Proven experience in the electrical field.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Technical college degree in electrical technology.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions, including schematics.
  • Proficient in the use of various hand tools.
  • Capable of accurately reading a tape measure.
  • Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Basic mathematical skills and familiarity with measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a reliable attendance record.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • This role may involve various physical activities, including walking, standing, bending, stretching, and using hands for grasping, pushing, and lifting.
