Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Merchandise Associate to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to all operational and merchandise standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves, folding merchandise, and participating in store recovery.
  • Process customer purchases and returns accurately, handling cash and credit transactions with precision.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers, encouraging repeat business and loyalty.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, adhering to all labor laws and policies.
  • Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a positive and personalized experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support business needs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Works effectively with peers and supervisors, demonstrating a positive and collaborative attitude.
