Position Overview:

Soliant is looking for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support in delivering effective speech and language therapy services. This role is crucial in fostering the academic and social growth of students facing communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Therapeutic Support: Assist in executing therapy activities and exercises as outlined by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Assessment Assistance: Aid in the execution of screenings and assessments under the supervision of an SLP. Gather and report data regarding students' progress and their responses to therapy interventions.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Collaborate with educators and staff to incorporate speech and language objectives into classroom activities. Provide strategies and support to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Progress Documentation: Keep precise records of therapy sessions, student advancements, and relevant observations. Prepare and submit reports in accordance with institutional policies and regulations.
  • Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation and organization of therapeutic materials and resources necessary for effective therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related discipline.
  • California State Licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to speech-language therapy.
  • Experience in working with children or within an educational environment is preferred.
