We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Discipline Engineer to join our team at H2M architects + engineers. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for a variety of projects, including power distribution, lighting, communication, and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design of electrical systems, including power distribution, stand-by power generation, lighting, communication, fire alarm, and security systems.
- Grow, develop, and supervise a team of electrical engineers in project design and development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.
- Oversee and review electrical department design documents to ensure completion and adherence to industry and company standards.
- Collaborate with the QA/QC team to develop and implement company quality standards and procedures.
- Work with the MEP management team to develop and implement electrical short- and long-range manpower and production plans to meet project objectives.
- Assist in the cultivation of business development initiatives to pursue new projects, including participation in client presentations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10-15 years of experience with a consulting engineering firm designing building power, lighting, communication, and security systems.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of the architectural and engineering industry, including federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Licensed NJ Professional Engineer (NY PE a plus).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software).
- LEED Accreditation and working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and EasyPower desired.
- Prior experience supervising staff.
- Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems a plus.
