Position Overview:
As an Intermediate Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in the surgical team, ensuring the operating room is prepared and maintained for various surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare the operating room by arranging sterile setups for surgical procedures.
2. Assist surgeons and surgical assistants by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures during operations.
3. Ensure all surgical supplies are prepared and sterile.
4. Collaborate with the surgical team, including anesthesia and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
5. Participate in the cleanup and restocking of the operating room post-surgery.
6. Serve as a resource for other staff members and assist in training new employees.

Daily Activities:
Your day will involve a variety of tasks, including:
- Interacting with patients and ensuring their comfort before surgery.
- Setting up and checking surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assisting in the preparation and care of specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and aseptic techniques.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A minimum of two years of surgical technician experience across at least two surgical specialties.
- Completion of a program accredited by a recognized institution or relevant military training.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or TSC) is preferred.
