Geriatric Psychiatrist

• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including those related to aging and mental health.

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.

• Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, using a patient-centered approach to ensure the best possible outcomes.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear and concise medical information and fostering a collaborative environment.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, and perform procedures as needed, collaborating with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.

• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, reviewing and analyzing clinical outcomes for continuous improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.

• Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice, staying informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, and participating in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.

• Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices, participating in ongoing medical education and training, and contributing to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

• American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatric Psychiatry or a related field.

• A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible.

$130.00 - $132.22 /hour
