We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our English Language Institute team at North Central College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language courses to international students and will work closely with the ELI Director to develop and implement curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Teach English language courses to international students, including Reading & Vocabulary, Writing & Grammar, Listening and Speaking, and Cultural Topics.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students at various levels of English language proficiency.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of ELI programs and services.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
- Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or a related field.
- Experience teaching English language courses to international students, preferably in an Intensive English Program at the university level.
- Ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of students at various levels of English language proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
