Position Overview

Certification Requirements
  • AHA Certification: Instructor, Provider, or RQI certification from the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation is mandatory.
  • Verification: Ensure all certifications are verified through UD.
  • Clinical Tracks: If UD is unavailable, refer to Clinical Tracks for guidance.
  • Non-Clinical Candidates: Certification is not required for non-clinical or remote roles.
  • Audit Compliance: Certifications will be subject to audit if UD or Clinical Track is not accessible during qualification.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to adult patients, excluding NICU duties.
  • Maintain an active license prior to starting the position; pending licenses are not acceptable.
  • Adhere to the travel policy, ensuring a permanent address is located at least 50 miles from the facility.
  • Be prepared for potential call-offs, with guaranteed hours for remaining shifts.
Experience Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy is required, with a focus on adult ICU and general floor responsibilities.

Schedule and Availability
  • Travelers may be called off once per pay period or once every two weeks.
  • All remaining shifts after a call-off are guaranteed.
