About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at Empire Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery - Albany. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of oral surgeons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC recommendations.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, as well as place and expedite orders as needed.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.

  • If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
